Unpacking from the Weekend
Mar. 31st, 2025 08:45 amIt's Monday morning, and though I'm back to work now I'm still unpacking from my three-day weekend. That's mentally unpacking, like with my business trip to New York at the start of the week. Though there's still at least one thing, mentally, left from NYC to unpack. Maybe I'll get to that soon.
It was nice having a three-day weekend. I needed it. Of course, I earned it from having a few working weekends earlier this month. I put it to good use:
How nice it was having a three-day weekend is making me think maybe I should do it more often. Specifically, that maybe it's worth it working during the weekend more often so I can take a 3-day weekend to make up for it more often. Maybe? Nah, that's what paid time off is supposed to be for!

- Friday morning I attended one work call while Hawk had a PT appointment, then we packed our bags and hit the road for the Sierras.
- Friday afternoon we hiked Corlieu Falls. In the rain. Then we stayed over in Oakhurst, California.
- Saturday we hiked Angel Falls and Red Rock Falls, then drove home.
- Sunday we slept in, went for a soak in the hot tub, took it easy around the house, and did a few chores.
